The mission of the Horse Herd is to improve the quality of life for all horses and thereby improve the lives of people through their human bond with horses. We also aim to improve the public awareness and knowledge of the standards of care necessary to keep equines healthy and safe. Our mission and philosophy is reflected in our programs.

We are dedicated to providing rehabilitation and adoption services for abused, neglected, abandoned and unwanted horses.

Rescue - Our mission is to rescue abused, abandoned, and neglected horses and other animals.
Rehabilitate - Each horse is very much an individual one so we compile the most appropriate rehabilitation and treatment programme for each horse.
Rehome - Once a horse is ready for adoption, we work with its network of horse professionals and amateur owners to find the best possible match for a permanent home.
Retire - For some older or hard-to-place horses, the best thing for them is to stay with us.
